finding a file libc.so.5

How to find a file on a FreeBSD ?

In dos, I type:
  dir /S my*file*mask

and get a location of file.

In BSD, I type:
  ls -R my*file*mask

but it searches only in directories with names corresponding to mask, so that, of course, is not what I need.

UPD: Ok, problem solved.
find / -name "my*file*mask" -print
